MLT Trade Challenges the Year 2000
A Happy New Year, the
Millennium 2000 !!
I am pleased to report to you that during the year of 1999 we made significant
progress toward the achievement of our long-term objectives although our short-term
figures are not necessarily impressive for this specific financial period. During 1999 we
have made a variety of investments in seeding for our future participation in the new
business fields. That efforts concentrated on using much of our management resources
including time. As a result, we have a smaller net profit than the previous year while
renenues were up in the four consecutive years since MLT has started its business in 1996.
In the meantime, thanks to your continuous business and supports to us, we have
successfully balanced the business startup loss during 1999 that eventually makes MLT
truly qualified a profit-making business operation. As the year 2000 will celebrate MLT's
5th year of business, we wish to make this year a very successful and capitalize on the
past efforts so as to open a new chapter of our business. The followings are our main
agenda for the year 2000;
1) To open MLT online
shopping service over Internet
2) To make "California Club" a success
with possible expansion
3) To reinforce food export business specialized in
"organic"
4) To orgainze extensive sales network of Petalumas in Japan
Through our focused
execution of these business agenda, we will achieve our business objectivess and become a
player in linking multi-trades among the countries we serve in this challenging
international food business. Thank you.

from California is served at restaurant "Amato
Amato" as well as restaurant "Corbeille" in the RIHGA Royal Hotel in
Waseda.
The restaurant chain serving Italian based cuisine with wine
and beer called Amato Amato now serves "Rosie-the-Organic-Chicken" in its
regular menu. Rosie is cooked a) barbequed with salt, b) deep fried in oil. Amato Amato has the following locations

(From the Editor: January 2000
A Happy New Year, the Millennium 2000 !!.
Although it was everyone's serious concern and nobody really
knew over what may happen on the first day of the new Millennium, i.e. January 1, 2000,
relative to Y2K, however, I am happy to write this note that "No major issues
and incidents" did occur around the globe. This is nothing but thanks to an
incredible number of people who have done a good job. No missiles fired, no computer virus
caused destruction, no airplane was in accident, no lifeline threatening did occur etc.
And we are now in Y2K and MLT has set its business plan ready
for this new year. The restaurant business in Tokyo Nihonbashi has opened a new door and
given us a new business dimension to MLT as we are directly exposed to the consumers. We
serve "Petaluma organic chicken" as well as natural beef and other healthy foods
while it present us a great opportunity to learn more about food business.
MLT continues its efforts to keep updates on relative
business information about the industry and hopes to bring readers with more valuable and
interesting information. We target all our time and effort to "organic" foods so
as to keep our eyes on "healthiness, freshness, cleanness" of our quality life
today. And we always appreciate your support and welcome your comments and suggestions,
