We are ready !!
Our January issue highlighted the introduction of
organic meat label by USDA. In coming May, Petaluma Poultry Processors, one of the
facilitators of this new rulings, is ready to market its labeled chickens in the U.S.
market.
We, MLT, proudly announce that the labeled chicken
is also available for export to Japan to meet the growing demand of quality chicken there.
In
line with Rosie, the genuine organic chicken, natural chickens as Rocky and Rocky Jr. from
Petaluma will also accelerate its marketing campaign in Japan.
As MLT well understands the local eating habit in
Japan, in a teamwork
with Petaluma staff, we have developed a "Special Bag" from Ziploc®.
The new "2kg package" will make Japanese consumers easy to buy, cook and enjoy the taste of
Petaluma.
The Rosie and Rockies are well proven quality
chicken under the independent auspices of OTCO, Oregon Tilth Certified Organization. They
meet the strict quality standards by USDA.

food/ marine/ agricultural products to Japan. Will direct & coordinate financial &
business procedures & sales activities. Will liaison w/Japanese corporate investors.

We opened our Internet web site in July 1998 and
waited for an opportunity to list "MLT" on the search engines such as Yahoo etc.
until we have a confidence in its quality of contents as well as site appearance including
images and colors. Last month, we decided to register it at Yahoo-Japan, the most widely
used search engine in Japan. Surprising enough, after our URL address is listed at
Yahoo-J, our server receives a doubled traffic. This is the beauty of Internet.The news of the USDA announcement on organic meat
label in January 1999 has facilitated Petaluma's marketing and sales to health conscious
people here and across the Pacific. MLT and Petaluma have worked together to develop a new
package so as to entertain the market in Japan. This is what 2kg pack was born. We expect,
with this new handy 2kg pack, an increase of Petaluma sales in Japan through our partner,
Kakiuchi. We are also developing an Online Shoppiing feature here at our web site to make
consumers in Japan purchase the tasty Petaluma chickens direct. It will be coming soon.
MLT continues its efforts to keep updates on
relative business information about the industry and hopes to bring readers with more
valuable and interesting information. We target all our time and effort to
"organic" foods so as to keep our eyes on "healthiness, freshness,
