(Notes from the Editor:
December 1998)
While the booming economy of the U.S. here appears
to keep its strength even beyond 1999, Japan, across the Pacific ocean, today is in the
severe deflated and stagnant economy. The nation is still in the midst of a long battle
since the collapse of "bubble ecnomoy" was evident in early 1990s. Japan
experiences the unprecedented worst nation's economy in history. And it is rather
difficult to know yet when it may end. But our clock keeps its counting and we will soon,
just less than a month away, welcome the very last year of 20th century, 1999.
Our first Internet web appearance was made in last July of this year and MLT is
determined to continue its efforts to keep monthly updates on relative business
information about the industry. We do hope that we could bring readers with more valuable
and interesting news and stories. As always, we target all of our time and efforts to
"organic" foods and to keep our eyes on "nature, healthiness, freshness,
cleanness" of our quality life today.
